Hey Guys,
I just bought a 2003 BA 5.4L LTD.
I wanted to know what type of exhaust system people recommend for it.
Last time i got an exhaust it was for a 6 cyl EA mont auto. I had a really good system, not droney at all so as not to be annoying when cruising at low RPM, and had a really nice throaty note higher up.

I don't wanna anything too excessive (deafeningly loud).

suggestions?

thanks

Just a twin 2 1/2 inch catback from any exhaust shop will provide heaps of extra grunt. You will just need to make sure it does not have an enoying drone.

If you want to keep it quiet and get good gains all round just get a 2nd hand GT or XR8 system for it. I've got most(minus the cat pipes) of one of these systems for sale if you're interested for $250.
It was only used for 10K on a BA Mk2 GT.

twin 2.5inch system mate. xforce & difillipo seem to be pretty popular muffler choices.
and some pacemaker extractors and high flow cats if youve got the cash.

single 3 inch pipes usually sound pretty s**t and drone really bad.

pay the cash and do it right and i doubt you'll regret it.

these 3 valve motors respond really well to exhaust systems as the factory one is way to restrictive.

make sure you post up a video of it once you've got it done ;)
