I have a BA ford Falcon V8 5.4 lt auto ute I am experiencing some issues at the moment which I can not put my finger on as to a cause when the car is cold it runs perfect but after about 45mins of driving it still runs fine except if I pull up to lights or get stuck in traffic Revs seem to drop to around 500rpm its starts shaking and knocking the knock seem to be coming from the passenger side bank on the motor I have had it into ford last week and they found 2 faulty cam sensors they replaced them and all is good to go now I just sent for a 2 hour drive and walla its back again does anyone have any ideas on what is going on or even had something similar happen to them I need this fixed as it is my work car and have already dropped too many days at work trying to fix it any help will be appreciated cheers Bill |

That could be the cam phasors buggering up. Especially as they were already in the area and changed the cam sensors...it's likely they weren't the problem but the cam phasors are. It's often a problem that rears it head when the oil is hot too. Could also be coils and/or plugs or even the injectors but it seems unlikely that it would be on just one side of the engine unless it's a harness problem on that particular side.
