as some might know ive been having a few little problems with my new ba ghia v8. it makes a pretty horrid noise when you give it even the slightest rev, like a grinding/ticking/knocking. just a bad noise haha.
i got my mechanic to look at it, he suspected it was coming from the gear box or rear of the motor so he refered me to a local trans place. so i took it to the trans place today that bloke rekons its the timing chain. so now ive got to take it to the first mechanic again on monday. now if its the timing chain, around about how much should it cost me to get fixed including labour etc? i always thought the timing chain rattle was only there at start up then it quickly goes away. my noise is there all the time the whole way up the rev range hot or cold theres a vid of the noise from inside the car here .. http://s230.photobucket.com/albums/ee85 ... oiseba.flv

sorry for late reply my cars going into mechanic on thursday for them to have a proper look, take the timing cover off etc.
if its timing chain i got quoted $1200 thats for new chain, steel tensioners and guides. could only be one of those things, could be all wait and see
