Hope someone can help me, I have a 2003 BA XR8 and yesterday the airbag light started flashing then stayed on. It looks like it is indicating error code 23. Does anyone know what this code is?

its dtc B2295, light flash code 23 - Restraint system - Side airbag module status (passenger side side airbag circuit fault.. there is a fix for it which involved a new airbag module and a cable restraining kit... if u want details coz your cars out of warranty ill find u the TSB on it...

I got an 03 BA XR8... Geez hope I don't encounter that problem....

its not very common.. ive probably seen 3 or 4...

A 2003 BA XR8 would still be in warranty unless the kilometers are over 100,000.

Hi all,
I have a really good Auto Sparkle mate who does a heap of BA Taxi's and he gets this problem all the time.
The Main issue is the yellow pug under the seat side cover has a connection issue.
Most of the time all he does is disconnect the plug clean it out with some contact spray, plug an unplug it a couple of times and this fixes it. In some cases where the plug is still an issues, he cuts it off and puts a new plug on it.
The Flash Fault code will go out when the problem is fixed, but the B2295 code will be stored as a historic code until it's deleted by a scantool (But you don't need to worry about this).
