Yes the straight runners do help in that regard.
The problem you have with using 1.7 rockers is that your overlap window has now increased. Couple that with the extra exhaust duration means your that your likely blowing a lot of it out the exhaust. Try going with a 1.6 exhaust rocker to close up your overlap window and reduce over-scavenging the exhaust. The AFR exhaust doesn't really need any help there. You could also try advancing the cam 3 to 6 degrees.
Are you using 1 3/4" headers?

hmm id really love to know when these beasts are gonna be available... coz i want a well flowing intake(around a trickflow track) but with good torque aswell... the fuel rail bit is a nice bonus, as is the price!

and well.... im kinda goona be buying a manifold of some type i the next few months, may aswell be one of these!

when will flow info be released for this manifold????

where does it sit in the scheme of things anyway??

will it support 400+ hp??

I went back to the Explorer manifold and got better performance right across the rev range.

It will be cheaper to buy them here soon - and BBK throttle bodies, EGR spacers, Fuel pressure regulators and 5/6 speed shifters
