Hmm nice idea, but not ideal for off road unless I wanted to break things, but it is so tempting.

Alloy head idea for one was to reduce weight and the fact of what it cost recondition stock E7 heads or purchase second hand GT40P heads.

I forgot to check Lextreme for your msg.

I think in theory I would go 1 or 3UZ-FE VVTi and use the 5sp auto, standard they have more torque at a lower RPM than non VVTi and the 5sp auto has a low first gear, ideal for off road. The only thing would be the many extra ECUs that control a thousand different things in a VVTi powered Toyota and the splicing nightmare, there wouldnt be to many aftermarket ECUs that could properly control the VVTi without paying more than a complete half cut.

I wander if the B series ECUs can be adapted ??
At Least they are programmable...
