Hey guys,
Can anyone suggest some good heads to use with a windsor302? I know GT40P are common, are there other options? Any ideas of power gains & price? Thanks. |

Too many to truly count. A lot of these topics discuss various types of heads that will bolt on such as Ford's GT40* range, Trickflow, Edelbrock, AFR etc etc.

Jegs in the States look to do a nice head as well.

Not really suited to a road car though. I think the runners were 225cc?

yeah 225 sounds right still a nice head even if it's a little big for road use.

AFR 165's for sure. Plenty of flow, and a nice small cross section area to work well on a mild 302. About 2500 to suit stud mount rockers, and 2700 to suit pedastal style rockers. http://www.highperformanceworld.com.au/ ... cials.html |

afr 165s.. awesome head.. not sure about bang for buck..
even if they're as much as 10% better(not just flow, i mean power/efficiency) they are more than 10% more than trickflow/edelbrock in price.. trickflow TW i think would be bfb out of alloys.. afr was my preference till i picked up some cheap edelsbrocks trickflow can be had for a bit over 2k from the right supplier..

I can't vouch for the quality but ProComp do 302 heads as well.
I thought you may be interested.

AFR 165's look to be the goods.
I'll research the trickflow TW and see what I can find. Comes down to either trickflow TW or GT40p. I have the funds so I'm pretty keen to do the swap ASAP |

Let us know what you go with and why as well. This is an area I am interested in for the future.

Likewise, very interested in the outcomes. Was thinking of going trickflow heads and manifold. but not 100% sure yet, although i have seen some good reviews on the Trickflow heads.
