ok people...the inevitable has happaned..shes gone BANG!! i was driving along, trying to overtake someone, and the revs were at about 3000rpm, and then all of a sudden...BANG!!! and lots of oil and smoke....im pulling the engine down at the moment and im finding lots of things in the sump like rods, main caps , big ends, bearings and rings..
the cranks snepped and so is the block is crack at the front.....
Why it went, ill never know...
Ive orderd a crate engine from Eagle Auto Parts in Sydney and im gonna put my manifold, roller rockers, and valve springs on that and get a better cam for it...

They're known for letting go on the # 1 main (Very thin in the casting), that's why a girdle is a must if you're running a decent amount of HP.

i dont think a 302 running a 14.8 1/4 mile is pushing out decent HP..
