Hi Vortex98,

Cheers mate,
As far as stroking a 5.4, it is completely out of the question. The 5.4 (as I believe) is an already stroked 4.6 and they are a very fast revving engine already. I agree with your statement in building a 5 litre. A mate of mine recently bought a single spinner and told me about plans to put a Windsor together and fit it down the track. If I was to source a 351 Windsor stroked out to 408, would I be able to fit the recent 4 valve heads to a cast iron block with overhead cams or do I need to get a coyote or Miami block to do it? Mate I first changed my oil in Perth and was shocked by the shavings I found in the sump oil in the drain tray after I'd drained the oil in to a container after the oil change, so I'm well and truly over the modulars anyway, just looking for a solution. I love the Windsor motors.

I don't know why I never thought of throwing one in an FG, but I don't want to run a hair drier and I'd rather go n/a. If you have any thoughts or info on a 408 Windsor build mate I'd really appreciate it, as I think these 5.4's should've stayed in the F-Trucks.

Windsors all the way!

Tez. 8-) 8-) 8-)
