Actually the Boss 9 had Pent roof combustion chambers not Hemi.

Well said!

When you say "LS1 is stronger that BOSS" what do you mean? Do you mean that the LS1 engine is more reliable (if so, you MUST be joking) or that they have more torque and power (again, the BOSS 290 motor has outpowered several LS1's AND Ls2's on the same dyno same day, despite claiming LESS power on their catalogue)? Or that the LS1 respondes better to mods (arguable)?

Not quoted, but interpereted then dicussed with several eingineering students. Just look at mark uzell's ute. 1500fwHP single turbo and it uses an iron block gen 3.

The weak part in MOD motors is rotating assembly ..Especially rods...Eagle make some H beam for them ..Then there's issues with oil pumps...All can be upgraded...Pistons also due to there high piston speed, in performance engine...
There are heaps of 4.6's Mustangs runing turbo's with around 1500 h.p...
mark uzell's ute is wll set up.. A Ford done the same will go just as hard...t maybe an aftermarket block also???

I rmember reading somehwere that it is a Gen3 truck block. Same casting as the alloy block from the cars but its cast iron. I think it might have steel bore liners fitted for added insurance. Don't know if its a factory or aftermarket item though.

Here here EBXR....
It's a damn shame we didn't get the '03/'04 Cobra 4.6 here.
They are soooo tough in stock form it's not funny. They have Manley rods and forged pistons as std and a damn tough iron block. They make just under 600 RWHP with the stock eaton M112 with the boost wound up. Switch to a Whipple or Autorotor with same boost and they go over 800 piece-o-piss and you haven't even been inside the engine yet!?!
I sure wish that dude here in Perth hadn't piked out on an '03 Cobra conversion to his EBXR8....went and bought a damn house instead!?! I said; "s**t man you can't race a house!"
I had a brand new crate engine lined up too...$8K U.S. complete.
