Heu guys,

Have come to the part where I want to have stainless braided top radiator hose for my AU3 TE50.

How have you guys done this? The standard hose is 37mm (1 1/2 inch) at one end and 32mm (1 1/4 inch) at the other. I wanted to buy a straight replacement however my normal place (overseas) does not carry hoses that change size (in braided)

Other option is to get ripped off by autobarn for the stainless sleeving for $80 per metre which wont really matter if it changes size as the orig pipe will still be used.

Last option is to get one of those bodgy $59.99 'kits' which have multiple size sleeves in them. I have a bad experience with these before where they discolour after a short amount of time.

Just wondering if anyone had ideas or how others have gotten round this?!

dose the AU's have the fitting comming out of the hose?, wouldn't that kill the idea of sleeving it?. better of getting some one to make you one from s/s and either use 2 short bit of braid as connector's or using standered hose to join it to the rad and motor.

Actually, yes, you are 100% correct. Didnt even think of that.

I will be keeping the engine cover, so I will simply do the half braid idea (alternately could get one made i suppose!)

Has anyone got anything bad to say regarding the $60 sleeving kits you can but from autobarn or similar?
