well we took it into one bloke and then he turned around and said he cant tune it so me brother then rang up he bloke who sells the j3 chip then he booked it into daltons so we went there but alls he did is run some programs on the dyno and thats it didn't even look at the timing or anything ? but it was really starving for air so it didn't do so good as we thought with the standard maf and throttle body he said once he done that give him a call to retune it. 550 bucks later it only punched out 177kw at the wheels and 450 odd pounds of torque im not sure about him taking it back cause when u put your foot down it is a piece of s**t down low feels like its going nowhere until 4 grand and then it still dont feel right like its surging but it goes fine with quarter throttle is there anyone around melbourne that knows about tuning fords properly it just wont rev like it should any ideas didnt get any vids cause the camera f**k up stupid camera

Well very interesting. I would still like to here the final result seen as it is a few years down the track. I tried a similar experiment a few years ago built a 347 bottom end using all procomp gear it lasted about 10 minute's. Stripped it down found all ring lands broken on 5 of the eight pistons so put it in the shed and forgot about it. Now the 5.0lt in the wagon has expired and am wondering if I should try again with the 347. So I am interested if you sorted out you're issues and weather you got any life out of it

Hi yeah it's been a while yes ring lands let go on me through repeated trips to 7500rpm so got probe forgies now I'm actually converting to carb now motor going in "xd 5spd 9" 3.5s " but heads went well out of box just port matched everything else is going strong just pistons let it down they were hypertectic by the way.
