Imo its more abuse and high rpm.. 50 ounce external ballance doesn't help..
There is a way around this now!! Thats to fit the latest stroker kits with Zero ballance but you need different harmonic ballancer and fly wheel.Is that another excuse to stroke ???
Btw I prefere the 330 with 5.4 rod over 347....

mm heard a few yrs back some of the jet boat guys were buildign ford V8's that could spin to over 10000rpm all day long any truth to this?

The guys in the Stock 5.0 class in the states are pulling over 9000rpm - but you are talking grout filled blocks and other trick bits. Most of them are stepping up into Dart blocks.

Yep but 302 R's and Mexican blocks etc are more common there..They could have also been destroked 351's ?? With 4 bolt mains fitted on there stronger webbing...
