Thanks to Trent who corrected me on my poor design I now have a much easier and cheaper method of running the fuel lines.
Parts consist of: 4x -6an TFS 90deg ends (2 for fuel line adapters, one for regulator return and one for passenger rail) 1x -6an TFS 45deg end (front of drivers rail) 1x -6an Fragola 180deg end (rear of passenger rail/supply) 1x -6an Earls 90deg female-male end (hooks regulator up to drivers side rail) 2x -6an 3/8" Russell hard line adapters (clicks into factory fuel lines) 2x -6an unions (for regulator to return/rail) 3x -8/-6 reducer unions (fuel rail) A bunch of -an o-rings 10ft of Earls Teflon braid

Well I made the boo-boo of ordering 3/8" hard line adapter things, my mistake. They are just a bit larger than the factory push lock style fitting.
so next option is to remove the rubber hose off the hard line and use two of these Russel hard line EFI fittings. Anyone know how they work and if they are suitable for our lines? 1/4" http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-641300/ |

Moroso make a good 3/8" or 1/2" aluminium fuel line (solid) that costs less than $50 for a 25ft roll. P/N 65330 / 65340 if your keen. Speedflow make good easy to use -6 or -8 fittings to suit, no flaring required. Just FYI.

I'm not too keen to pull my hard line out to replace it with a slightly larger pipe, but thanks anyway. I just need to know if the Russel adapters fit our 1/4" tube? I can't see how they work but I presume they just slip on and compress. And I'm pretty sure they don't need any flaring done either.
The 3/8" adapters I had bought looked like the factory fuel rail connectors that clip into our rubber hoses on the hard lines, but of course being 3/8" they were a bit big for the plastic coupler. I'll check out the Speedflow gear, thanks for the advice. |
