Hi , I have a problem with one of the wires from the positive battery terminal that runs to the pink plug, I noticed smoke coming from under the bonnet and found the wire had melted. I replaced the wire but it shorted again. My car is an EB 5L auto any ideas as to what the cause could be.

follow the wire, there will be a short somewhere before the main fuses.

I have been told the wires from the pos terminal are fuseable links, I changed the link that burned and the new link did the samething. I had the car checked by a sparky and he put a bridging wire in place of the fuseable link and the car started and runs fine. The only odd thing the sparky found was that the air conditioning is always on, the air con has been disconected and so far it hasnt shorted again.
