Looking at getting a cam in the 5ltr, i think it has one in it now, not sure what specs, i don't think its very big as its not really lumpy at all, car made 173rwkw with this cam and I'm looking at upgrading the cam and air induction as iv just got a standard xr8 intake.

I'm looking for a bigger more aggressive cam, how lumpy it is doesn't bother me at all.

if anyone has any recommendations of where to go and have a look or what cam/ Air box to go for.

has to be in Victoria.

thanks.

If you can get something like that made up Phill and it will fit the EL we will take one.

How much did that one cost to make up? Any mods to the airbox to use it?

Cheers

Get yourself a Comp thumpr cam if you want lumpiness. Having said that it will probably f**k up your idle something cruel. A Ford F303 is also a good cam with the highest lift a stock 5.0 will handle without piston to valve problems....in an EL it will still cause idle probs without electronic tuning.

Good info there, I don't suppose anyone has any pics of the side of the airbox do they? I'm wondering if it would be a good mod for my Xr8, which has stock HO intake gear (for now lol), but has extractors, bigger exhaust, and a mod chip, so I'm thinking if i can get some more airflow to the airbox it might pick up a bit of power?

Cheers

also interested in some sort of intake like that, how much would it cost?

as for the cam, im not fussed about having to be re tuned as im planning on doing that anyway with the bigger cam, airbox and diff gears.
