I now have 2001 AUII V8 Auto Fairlane 145,000 kms - which has suddenly cropped up with the following history.

TCS & ABS lights came on intermittently over the last 3 mths ( this is as long as I have had the car) - no apparent cause.
A week ago Cam Pos sensor started squealing. Managed to get a couple drops sewing machine oil under there without removing the sync shaft - hasnt sqealed since. Did not touch timing etc.
Today first thing car stated & ran OK - then suddenly developed a miss & occassional backfire thru intake. That disappeared & now Traction control light stays on all the time & lacks power like it is retarded. Idles rough.

Any thoughts as to where to start looking?
