CRS do a bellhousing to bolt a 6cyl T5 behind an old small block V8. It uses the old 164 tooth flywheel and a hydraulic clutch like the old Falcons too. Funny thing is, I think the same belhousing might suit a Top Loader (just check the CRS website and you'll see).

I have to change wheels around today so will get some pics for you's. I know that it has the hydraulic clutch set up Bolt holes too. Just had alook at the crs site and they have bellhousing that suit late model flywheel, starter on left side etc for $587, the part number is BH107D and is the same p/n for the toploader/single rail one too but it looks different to my one....

Another option which may or may not be viable is to get a v8 gear set, but this still leaves you needing a v8 t5 bellhousing/conversion accessories.

When I rebuilt a t5 for my mates EL I used a 6cyl t5 with a v8 gear set as the box was cheaper to buy (and he couldn't use the one out of the car as it was his daily). Also suited him as the gear set was a 3.35/0.68 and he did a lot of highway km's but still wanted lower 1/2 ratio's. I think it ended up costing me about $500AU shipped from the US.

If pursuing this route you would have to check whether the box you have is a World Class or non-WC box and whether gear sets are interchangable (I'm not sure, have only used WC boxes).

That bellhousing looks real odd, Its looks like it is 2 different bell housings welded together. Does the bolt hole at the bottom of the pic line up with anything

Are there any casting numbers or marks on it

yeah seen that too but it only bought it up with the flash on, would be toploader/single rail hole out there. I've got a few single rails around so will see what I come up with. Haven't found any casting marks yet but haven't looked that hard on the passenger side yet either. Will get under it tomorrow after work as it's still on the stands now...
