Afternoon Fordmods world!

Ive just purchased a 1992 EB GLi V8 for $330 that the previous owner couldnt get running. Ive since got it to run but not very well at all, pretty much all the vacuum hoses were disconnected or missing, and I was wondering if someone can tell me which ones to go where. ive bought new vacuum hose to redo the whole lot.

cheers in advance :)

here we go

Image

I need to know where the other end of that is (EGR Valve?)

Image

other side of the T/B from the first picture, the 2 rusted broken barbs, no idea where they go either

Image

the other end of this is on the fuel pressure reg, only about 5in long

Image

does this one lead to the heater tap?

Image

this one was blocked off, no idea where it goes

Image

last but not least, wtf is this? (has a broken barb on the bottom and no hose attached)

if anyone can help that would be lovely.

cheers! :)

First picture is EGR valve. From memory I thing thats open to atmosphere.
The fitting on the other side of the throttle body is for the coolant. Normally a couple of small hoses run off the water jacket of the manifold through that. Not required in Oz. It is an american thing to stop the throttle body freezing.
Fuel pressure reg one just find a barb in the manifold that has vacuum and plug it on.
The green hose goes to the heater tap from the internal controls.
The one thats blanked with the hose and bolt can be used for fuel pressure reg.
The bottom picture looks like a module for the early EB style cruise control.

Hope this is of some help.

Nope it will be the vacuum hoses.
If the fuel pressure reg doesnt have a vacuum signal it will run like s**t as it will be a consistant pressure.
The heater tap disconnected will be causing a vacuum leak as the vacuum source for the dash is elsewhere.
With the hoses the way they are it will idle as rough as and wont rev , if it will run at all.

ok, so all the hoses are connected now, it has some fresh bp ultimate in the tank and it still runs like a dog.

one person reckons it could be a blocked injector, another reckons it could be a s**t MAF, the code reader gave codes 15 and 96, and im not sure which one to believe

can someone shed some light on what codes 15 and 96 are?

That last pic is the EVR(EGR Vacuum Regulator) which controls the opening of the EGR valve. The busted off barb is where the hose goes to the EGR valve.
From memory code 15 is ROM failure which is a bit terminal for the EEC.
96 should be Fuel 2nd circuit fail.

Maybe, clear the codes and try it again. I've seen this code come up but after a KAM clear and retest it was ok.
Another EVR is needed or get a brass barb and gently drill and tap the EVR or use a press in one and glue the bastard in.
