Howdy all

My El xr8 has devaloped a little bit of a bad habit. once i turn my car off it doesnt wanna start for 5 - 10 mins.
when i turn the key i can hear a click from around the engin but it wont turn over.
everythin else about it is runnin sweet, and once it does turnover it starts straight away.

i was thinkin it may be da puter but i'm not sure

any ideas on where i should start lookin

Starter Motor Solenoid is giving you a bit of trouble

Check battery voltage and connections at battery and starter.

Turn lights on and see if they dim when key turned or use horn for same, listen for it to diiieeee.

If no change when when you try to start then solenoid?

If lights dim right down or horn dies then could be shorted starter coil or crook connections? Don't forget to check inside (look) of terminals for corrosion. Also check earth lead to motor.

Quick test, put jumper cable from earth (-ve) terminal of batt and motor and try to start.
