Hey all, I got an 302 XC.
The other night I was driving along perfectly until it started f@rt around heaps.
Now when I start it there is constant intake backfire especially when revving it a bit. It's virtually undriveable.
It's got a new dissy, plugs and leads.
Could it be a dropped valve or anything? Any ideas?
Cheers Dan.

probably the timings out, it creates the backfire through the carb/intake manifold for newer cars
definatly check that first then come back to us,

Yep, get an original Bosch job and rebuild it or get a Ford Duraspark.

Thanks for info guys I took it all into account.
It turned out it was a dropped valve so my spare 351 will be going in this week as It's better anyway.
Thanks guys.
