Either a door lock is not connecting to its striker properly or one of your Tibbe actuators in one of your doors is stuffed. Just check that your doors are aligned at the right height and not hanging down at an angle and if that does not turn out to be the problem then you may have to pull door interior trims off one at a time and disconnect each door actuator, try the central locking to see if the rest of the doors lock correctly and if they do, then you have found the dodgy actuator which you can just replace.

I have the same problem and its related to heat - I have had an EF for 3 years and it only does it in the hot summer months - in winter - no problems. Today, 1/1/06 with the road temperature of over 40c - the central locking was going demented. greg
