Spot on mate. 2x manifolds into 2x cat into y-piece. The main difference with the XR zorst is that it remains twin until the rear of the car, where it forms one pipe. Come in various configurations but basically slow your altenator, water pump, p/s, a/c etc. which reduces the amount of parasitic drain these devices place on the engine. More kw left for the wheels. Fairly common as one of the cheaper mods for the windsor. Cheers for all those answers. What size cat converters would you use? 2 1/4"? Besides touching engine internals, the ECU or transmission, are there any more common mods after extractors and C.A.I. (K&N filter and larger snorkel). I've heard larger throttle bodies and such work on the 8's? I guess you might not know though because you decided to force yours instead... |

There's more mods for these things than you can poke a stick at. You'll be using a MAF sensor once you go V8. These can be upgraded (std size around 55mm, im using a 73mm) and similar mods for throttle bodies.
Main problem is the heads and intake manifolds are extremely restrictive. Little point modding s**t too hard if you're gonna leave the standard E7 heads and HO manifold (FYI - AU motors have much better heads/intakes). Having said this, mine is stock heads/intake....
