whats the differance between the original 289 heads and the newer gt 40s.
i have a set of 289 heads with 1.90 inlet valves and 1.54 outlet, ported to the max and almost 11:1 compression................. is there any benifit going with newer heads.
this is for a carby engine

As far as i know the gt40p heads have a different spark plug angle for a better burn,but you may find your extractors won't fit,probably not worth the extra expense
