given that he's got an XC, and that he's talking about just a crank, i'd say he's got a cleveland

going to a 351C from a stock 302 is pretty much a full rebuild, parts needed are either:

351 crank, 351 rods and 351 heads
351 crank, 351 pistons and new dished pistons to lower the compression ratio to keep the original 302 heads
351 crank, 302 rods and new pistons to accomodate the longer rods and 302 heads (or non dished pistons and get a set of 351 heads)

get a chip mate...

hahahaha...

how cheap you lookin? extractors would help, or just a bloody good service of any consumable parts, especially in the ignition(points/dizzy/leads etc).. and maybe a professional tune(or diy, depending how good you are).. if you have a crappy coil upgrade that..

if you go 351 you'll probs wanna get a bigger carbi, aswell as all internal bits, and also make sure your heads are up to it or just get another set of heads.. lotsa $$$.. you could maybe get the heads ported/milled and combustion chamber worked for a slightly higher comp and some better flow/swirl..

edelbrock now have some clevo heads too. might be for 351 tho, so lower comp. ideally youd get this while rebuilding engine to full 351. depends how much you willing to spend.

Dont put a big block in your car mate. My uncle runs a really successful mechanics shop in ballarratt victoria, where he makes drag cars for himself and stuff. He had an xc and him and my brother decided not to put a big block cause my uncle says they are too big and heavy for street cars and cost alot of money to really get pumping. He only ever uses 351clevos when he wants a quick drag car. Keep what you have and work it.
