just wondering which of the clevo blocks are the strongest and best for building a performance motor

The NASCAR or pillow blocks. Wouldn't be easy to find though.

Mexican cast blocks are the thickest factory block

Cleveland blocks were never cast in Mexico, only Windsor.

Just find a late Aussie cast Cleveland block. Pillow blocks or Nascar are just too hard to find and not necessarily very good either because the ones that had been turfed out into production vehicles often had core shift problems.

Just go the Dart block . Yes a little pricy initially. You’ll SAVE on machining latter . Well it’s actually a Windsor with 9.2 deck height . Clevo main bearing .
