Normally, if i tried releasing the clutch fairly quickly at 3000rpm, the wheels would spin no worries in my elxr8.
Lately, if i do the same, the wheels hardly ever spin. Even if i try fully dumping the clutch at the same rpm, the wheels might chirp a lil, but wont actually spin. The car will just take off as though im slowly releasing the clutch at full throttle? Its kinda hard to explain, but i hope yous get what i mean.. lol |

When its in neutral, will it rev freely? What about say, third, will it pull like it did before? Does it sound like its missing?

Everything else is normal, itll pull exactly like it did before in every gear once its moving. Revs perfectly in neutral and it doesnt miss a beat.. |

how olds the clutch, or how much of thrashing does it take. either the clutch is getting on or may just need a slight adjustment(not sure if this is possible, dont have much experience with the newer cars)

Its the original clutch from new.. The cars got around 87000kms now (damn theyre starting to rise!!).. By the way, where should the friction point usually be? Mines right near the top, ie. the clutch plate is fully released by 1/2 press of the clutch pedal, maybe not even 1/2! |

friction point should be closer to the floor than that! my preferance is about 1.5-2 inches off the floor, but this depends on the clutch setup and the car. at a guess, id say the clutch is about stuffed. sorry
