Hi guys,
just trying to find out what's the way to go in terms of coil, TFI module and cap? MSD & Crane? MSD in particular has a large range in some catergories, how do you know what suits your car?

Is there a benefit to that over the stock dizzy?
I've only added cap and coil to my setup. Better spark? |

In that case, just keep the stock dizzy, but add a better TFI module?
Like the BPT dyna mod?

I've heard people have had nothing but troubles with the MSD dizzys, Brett (TerroristGHIA) will be able to confirm that.

I am NOT a fan of the Dizzy, but loved the cap and leads. I also had the blasterTFI which was plug and play and had no issues with it at all.
My 8456 was rebuilt 3 times under warranty as it ran too hot and would cook the TFI module Brett

Yep i run MSD leads with no drama at all and have previously run an MSD blaster coil with no dramas either but what i had heard about the dizzys put me off going down that path.

Does anybody else other than BPT do a TFI module?
Looking at some of these bad reports about the MSD Dizzy, I'm thinking of getting just of getting the cap, coil, and I'd like to change the TFI module?

My 8456 was rebuilt 3 times under warranty as it ran too hot and would cook the TFI module Brett Brett, so you had the dizzy internals rebuilt? The TFI Module which screws onto it was fine? Can you get the TFI that seperatly? Or only with the dizzy? You were reffering to the Blaster coil being plug and play? Is the TFI module on the dizzy also plug and play?

He said he had the dizzy rebuilt 3 times and the TFI was cooked. Quote: You were reffering to the Blaster coil being plug and play?
Yes, the MSD blaster coil is plug and play.

^^^As above, just get the cap, coil and leads. will be more than enough for your combo. With the appropiate part numbers you can just order them in from any speed shop. I got all my gear from Star Performance here in Sydney, but have been dealing with AI high Performance(bottledup on FM) since star closed.
