I guess there's a couple of options...
Get a larger intake snorkel than the standard job... either one from another Ford or an aftermarket job like SS inductions (bit pricey IMO). Or make your own. If you have a look in my gallery you can see where the intake plumbing goes, and there's a pic of where i have mounted the pod filter. Didnt have much choice with the supercharger but dont see why you couldnt righ something up like that to feed the airbox.

on the standard intake box the hole is pointing out towards the fan..is there any way of laying an intake ontop of the fan and running the hose back in through the hole in the standard box??

Do you mean draw air from the fan and direct it to the airbox?
If so... i wouldnt recommend it - the fan is drawing air through the radiator which is extracting all the heat from the coolant. Do you have a snorkel on there at the moment?

OK well there's meant to be a plastic snorkel coming from the hole in the airbox and going up to the top of the radiator to breathe cold air from between the bonnet and the headlight (this is the factory setup). At the moment she is sucking in hot air from the engine bay.

yeah thats the main reason i wanted to get something done to it coz i noticed it was just sucking the hot air from around the motor...how much would one of those factory snorkels set me back for the time being??

About 35 bucks from Ford, will need to make sure you can get one that fits your airbox.

Yeh, go the GT snorkel like Marty has suggested as they're so damned cheap. It beats paying for the aftermarket ones I have and tried.

You could also cut a 4 in hole in the bottom of the airbox through the inner guard and run some ducting to the from bar. I did this on mine and it works a treat. Best part is that it cost less than $30 for the ducting fitted

FPV, Where do you get the air from, cos as far as i know there aint much room at the fron of these cars to receive air. I am looking at similar modifications for my EL, but I am going to great lengths as there are not many opportunities in my front bar. I would be interested to hear how you did it. Cheers[/quote]
