there is some coolant leaking from the front of the engine around the water pump area but i cant find where and i cant get engine cover off till shops open tomorow but i was just wondering if there is anything i should check that are a known problem once i get the cover off. seems to be coming from above water pump cos there is a small pudle on each side of the water pump. its a series 2 elxr8. thanks

It may be the small rubber hose from the water pump to the heater pipe under the manifold upper. They commonly go.

It's only about 6" long and bends 90*. While your at it replace the other small hose there too.

thanks heaps for that. seems like the clamp was a bit loose so hopefully that solves the problem. thanks again.

yeh also the bypass hose from the thermostat housing to the water pump.

ive gotta replace those two hoses myself actually
