I have finally found a combo to get the xy cool in Sydney traffic. I now have a custom radiator the size of an xb, but somewhat fatter. Bolted behind is a set of AU fans. Ive had to mount the fans upside down, but it looks neat and it works. :)

i got a 3core radiator, and the biggest badest davis crage thermo i could get runnig it on a tep switch, so the fans come on at 100C, works great for me.... even when i was sitting in a police line for 2hrs, didn't over heat

I always thought you'd have no cooling problems if you had a big ol' triple core radiator in there. Not the case Brett?

true, but elec fans will use far less hp to run than your regular fan will, plus that can only go as fast as your idle revs (while you are sitting in traffic), elec ones can speed up to cool it down while you are stationary!!

That radiator that I am running is a 4 core. even that was over heating with a davis craig fan on it.

just have to watch out for your alternator, it might be getting too loaded up, and the alternator can actually draw some hp from the motor.
