I reckon my EF 302W cranks over to long before it fires, I replaced the plugs/lead/dizzy cap etc and battery not long ago, but it still seems to crank for to long, I've had the thing for 7yrs now and I recall it used to fire around 2nd or third pot to spark, now it goes through at least all 8 and maybe a few more before firing, and if I stop the cranking before it fires and then hit it again it will nearly jump out of the bay on the first pot, should I look at getting the injectors done, can the timing be out, its seems fine when running, I've always like cars that just fired up by bascially touching the key.

getting the injector cleaned is a great idear most people forget about them.
and do throttle body at same time. check basic things like timing, also compression might be getting down if its done some km. make sure there are no air leaks either as that will make it take longer to fire. |

I recently replaced the MAF and TB so there good, it was exhibiting long crank times before that though, it's only done 140k, have to figure out how to check the timing now I have underdrives on it, no marks to line the timing light up on, airleaks are worth a look, although I suspect it would run eratically if leaks were present, I'm doing a manifold change as soon as my bits turn up from the states so I'll get the injectors into a sonic bath at that time. any other ideas I can try
