I've changed the leads recently after it started playing up. Funny you mentioned donut shaped thingy. Gave it a rev today nearly stall on back off, then a pop noise and that donut thing was blown right off the tube!! WTF? And what is it for anyways? i hate the looks of it as it is. can i get rid of it? I'm gonna go and check all those thingd you've suggested. thanks

How'd ya go with capping off the dog turd? Seen this on ebay and he has used the centre cap of a Ford mag.....different :P

Yes i'm happy that it's fixed. But I'm keeping the 8 for cruising. Can't have a big barge without an 8!! As for the donut dog turd things? I'm leaving it alone. If it's not broken don't fix it. Thanks for everything guys you're all most helpful.

so the ebay sensors seem ok?

my 5.0 has a slight hesitation (roughness?) when you take off lightly, if you take off more firmly it isnt as bad, once you get the car moving it seems to go away. also the idle can be a little rough when you pull up and put the car into park.

it has good leads, new plugs rotor and dizzy cap, 95 ron and otherwise runs really well...

is it likely that the oxys are buggered on mine?

Cheers all

Yeah I'd try that. O2 sensor, but the sensor I got from EBAY was actually genuine Ford items. Check and make sure. if all else fail just take it to a mechanic.
