Hey Guys,
I have used the search and not managed to find the correct procedure for turning the service spanner light off on my dash. I have a EL Fairlane V8 and service it myself. Thanks

Turn on your ignition, hold the reset button for a period of more than 10 sec's and you'll hear a chime!
Release the button and presto! Repeat again in 10,000k's!

I had the opposite experience, had me buggered how he got to be foreman somedays, just had no clue, just how I was to "RTFM" when we were in the field and weren't allowed to take "TM" out with us had me stuffed.
Guess that's why he still works on earthmoving equipment and I now work on Jet Aircraft

Maybe your old foreman was illiterate? Had a few blokes with an almost irrational hatred of manuals - 'till I realized the problem was they couldn't really understand them anyway! Old man used to service microwaves etc - accidently got me a "UK spec" keypad to replace my broken one. The thing had symbols instead of "Start", "Power" etc. etc. No writing on the bloody thing anywhere! Apparently this is because of the massive amount of english people who can't read english? Go figure...
