VPW sell the ARP timing cover and water pump bolt kit for about $50, and they are stainless.

i dunno what the story with them is, i bought one and half of the bolts don't fit.
i think they only suit early model timing covers.
.

Thanks, good to know.
What was wrong with them? Wrong lengths?

yeah i had the same problem with the ARP bolt set. pretty sure they are to suit earlier model.

if there is no sign of coolant in the oil i wouldn't think the case has failed more likely the gasket.
but in saying that when i did mine the oil dipstick showed no signs of water but when i dropped the sump just to be sure i found a nice pile of what looked like whipped cream on the bottom of the sump at the front and the oil was sitting on top of it and not mixing with it so there were no obvious signs but it was there just waiting to get sucked up to the top end and set like concrete.

for a case in aus try RACEPARTS AUSTRALIA or maybe A1 HIGH PERFORMANCE as customs can be prety slow this time of the year.

Would two sets of bolts do?
Do you remember which ones were spare? and what extra ones you needed?

If anyone is interested I have ordered four of them and some gaskets.
Once it gets here ill work out the price if someone wants one, ill only be selling it at cost price (silly me..) But the cost to ship four of them wasnt much more than just one of them, so it should work out cheaper for everyone.

I wont be in a position until early next year as this will be when I begin collecting more parts for stage 2 of my engine build. If there are any left, I'll grab one off you for sure!

i cant remember, i ended up not using any.
i say 'half don't fit' but it might have been all of them.
i started with water pump ones and none of them worked so i cracked the s**t and put stock ones back in.

i'll definitely take one, fire me a PM/post here when they get in.

Ok they came in on Tuesday.
I tried to get all gaskets and seals, but they only had four water pump gaskets and two cranks seals (seals have been spoken for).

I currently have two covers and water pump gaskets left at this stage.
Price for the cover and gasket is $92.50 + postage (estimated at about $15)

Pictures to confirm they are exact reproductions
