Lol yeah, i found out that airbags HURT... but also help... my face was numb for about a week and a half from it... The girl that was in the car was in Hospital for 4 days... I broke a rib, and it punctured my lung... in turn my lung filled with blood for the next month...

PS. The girl was only in for checkups.

Yeah they made em... and yes - i have one!

According to Ford only 126 EF Futura V8s were produced. Yes - they were auto only. I can only assume because the XR8 of the time only had an extra 7kw... optioning the futura with a 5 speed would have given the tickford job a run for its money.

How many EL Futura V8's did they make?... does this mean i wrote off a VERY rare car?... and if so... could it have been worth money in the future?.... :@

Yeah, thats okay, i already eliminated one of them :)... bought it for about $11,000 and insurance only gave me $7,100 back... That hurt a bit...

Now the gearbox in my Fairmont is being rebuilt... and ive only owned it for around 3 weeks now... $2,000+ to rebuild it.... thats with better parts mind you.

^ what he said. Yeah the V8 GLis and Futuras are very very rare... but that doesnt do much for their value... not particularly desirable...

oooh zing. at least i get decent seats and momo steering wheel and gearknob, pretty tickford wings on my cluster :p, power front windows. Still have the drink holder lol. At least I can beat an auto futura v8 for both performance and "luxury" lol.
And no, your supercharged one doesn't count :p.

So were the GLi V8s only issued to police and how many, or were they for sale to general public in the same specs (you know all the extra bits not normally founf on a GLi), if so what makes an Ex-Chaser such a mythogical beast, I just love the ooh-aahs I get when I tell work mates mines a chaser (especially the chip and stronger donk myth), but Meh I only bought it cos I don't like the look of the XRs and wanted a cleanish sheet to play with mod wise plus I don't see the point of 6cyls.
