when I got mine done, not too many people were going to the 3.7s or 3.9s, so the diff guys could only cater for speedos at swaps to a 3.45, anything after that they recommended an instruments place. I now believe it's much easier to get it done as most diff guys carry the items needed. mine essentially cost so much because as I said, they were the only mob here that did this type of thing and charged me $100 each for speedo and odometer. incidently, the diff work was done by Bosnjak engineering up in Sydney, in hindsight I should have hunted around for someone whilst I was up there but couldn't stick around. the diff guys charged an extra $25 for the parts to recalibrate should I have gone for the 3.45s.

I rang Craft Differentials for a quote on approx. what it will cost to change my ratios to 3.73's and was quoted around $750, including labour, but that was with second hand parts, with 6 months warranty.

The same ratio with brand new parts are $1150 including labour, with the same warranty (i think thats what he said?)..

But yeah, what are ur opinions on those prices?

I have no idea myself, as ive never done a ratio change before.

I paid around $1300 from memory but that included replacing anything that wasn't 100% like the LSD cones, the other reason I changed the ratios was the dreaded diff clunk on slowing down so some parts I just wanted new while they were in there, the prices you've been quoted sound pretty fair.

I'm looking at swapping my 3.23 for a 3.45 LSD. The question i have is, would i be better of getting an EL diff as opposed to an EF diff because of the watts link centre bush placment. (the EL has a lower watts link centre bush that is soposed to make it handle better)

Kelli, where abouts did you get your speedo corrected?

I did it myself. I have an electronic speedo adjustor.

You can only get up to 3.45 from Ford (black).. Unless you found someone to 'custom' make one...
