What are the differences between auto transmissions in EA-EL i6 and V8?

There are several differences moose.
Unfortunately i can't find the damn spec sheet I had which spells them all out! Sorry.

ok well im just more interested in whether a i6 one will be any good for a V8 because there are shiploads of them around and not many 5.0L trannys

Ok well, Ive seen one(4.0L trans) behind a stock and badly running 351w and it lasted about a week. Thing is who's to say how bad it was before it went behind the V8? The guy was a cheapskate(which is why the 351 was running badly).
Anyway the spec sheet spelt out many of the different materials used in the V8 version to handle the extra torque. So I suppose you'd be pushing your luck with a 6 cyl trans unless you got one of the trans mobs to beef it up somehow?
