I don't go over the speed limit.
for two reasons

1. It is illegal.
2. I value the lives of the people in my car more than I do winning a stupid race. By speeding with other people in the car you are as irreponsible as you are stupid.

Thats my 2c

Yeah that happens to me, I race them until we reach 80 - 90 Ks, in a 80 zone and then I back off Victorious.

But the Wanker who has just lost, always keeps racing as if he is winning.

well some of us are sensible and some of us love our V8's and use them to their full potential to teach other car owners a lesson never try to race A FORD V8 as they will loose well f**k it life is short but licenses are to hard to come by if you get CAUGHT and you can always make more $$$ but rember if you a gut feeling that some might happen don't attempt it!

I took my mates 2003 model 328ci through the new m5 tunnels just after the speed camera ( after the slight bend to the left towards west) to about 250 trying to keep up with a newer model porche , if your going to race do it with a keen spirt and allways make sure the road is smooth and no other cars around. If you follow those rules only other thing that can send you on death row is if your tire blows .... not to mention doing 250 in a bmw feels like doing 150 in a ford.

The porche won but it was within the 50 meter mark at high speed. We stoped the second we came out of the m5 tunnel a few kms before the king georges road exit.

when im in my EL falcon , i never race past first gear, which is 90 km in my car. just leave it in first and hope for the best.!!!

If it wasent for the amount police and law inforcement on the roads there would offcourse be more racing, but the second you pass the 50 k limit in any zone you might aswell go all the way!!!

Wish we had an autobarn in australia like the one in germany , 1st lane 0-100 2nd lane 100-200 3rd lane 200-300 4th lane 300-400. :D

250 in a 328?? I never knew them 3 series (apart from M3) were such gutsy cars. You have proved me over why's.

Never i would try pull something off like that im under the imprssion the tunnel has camera's every km. Not many places in Sydney now that you can race with out getting caught

It would be pretty sweet to have an autobhan in sydney :D

It all depends on who is driving the other car, eg if its an older fella with a bit of sense, yeah go for it ,but I don't even bother with the young guys simply cos I don't wanna be responsible for the next news headline where a young bloke found the limits of his ride ''the hard way'' also these turbo 4's go pretty quick compared to our 1968 designed pushrod, dinosaurs.
Just use you're head when you're about to show off you're EGO next time.

I back off when I hit the speed limit. But I've also never had anyone keep up in a traffic light grand prix.

dont go speeding in the m5 east tunnel anymore - f**k man they got me on sunday!
i came onto the "on-ramp" from kingsgrove road going back to botany and punched it around the corner and accelerated up to 120kph.
undercover xr6 turbo quickly flashed me down - and pumped me sideways (fine = 30+ $579 8 points and 6 months loss of licence)

FKN YAY TO THE PIGS!

Thats why im selling my car. refer to my post in for sale section
