Does any-one know if traction control on the BA's (290kw's) works under 40k/hr, under hard acceleration, when not turned off,as we've been told by a Ford rep.
Should smoke come off the tyres in such a situation if traction control is on?

I dont know for sure but i just figured because it brakes traction so easy on take off you get enough wheel spin to create smoke before the traction control kicks in. To find out for sure do a stand still and see when the traction control kicks in. I have a BFII xr8 ute manual and that will leave a bit of a patch before the traction control kicks in. Even at 60 in the wet it takes abit for the traction control to kick in.

Traction control will work but its not infallable. My car has an edit and the traction control doesn't know what hits it when full boost comes on, lol.

My Mrs car seems to spin all the way up the road in the wet with the traction on, but it doesnt spin chronic it takes off pretty quick as well.
The ford traction is alot more agressive than the holdens, that pretty much seem to shut down at the sign of loosing traction.
