Looking at going dual pipes for the Fairmont once she's back on the road.

What diam. pipes are recommended..

Its currently running Genie headers and stock cats. Will probably go Pacemakers and Hi-Flow cats.

Dual the whole way? Not sure about EB but not possible on EF thanks to fuel tank, believe this is plastic where the 'would-be' passenger side zorst tip would go. What's the go on an EB?

For a stocker prolly not much point going larger than 2x 2.25inch

Its just going to be a quiet (economical!) daily driver.. not looking for any stupid power figures.

It'll get cam/roller rockers/underdrive pulley/inlet manifold and a nice LPG kit.

Yeah i would say that twin 2.25 inch would be the best, as was suggested. One of my mates has a V8 Torana and has twin 2.25 inch pipes sounds pretty nice :P

You could have the two pipes run into a twin Hi flow muffler then into a single pipe for a bit then back into two pipes which have i small muffler on each of those.

If your wondering what the hell im going on about look in a PFM mag or something, Di Filippo have that kind of design.

Something like that would be good. :P

Go a twin 2 1/2 with a straight theough muff on each side, you will also need a balance pipe in there somewhere. you should not need resonators

what he said - dont go over 2 1/2 unless you are going to do extra special things to the car - you will lose too much down low. Ive got twin 3" pipes (cats/hotdog/mufflers too) and they are only really good for the 'higher' rev range - not good for economical daily driving. Most exhaust places will tell you that anyway brad.
