Well, if the leads did not work for mine the next thing I was going to was the fuel press regulator.
is your thermostat ok? mine sits at the bottom of the normal bar most days or on the highway, in town it comes up a bit more than that. if it is running cold it maybe riching up at idle, I know mine runs a lot faster idle and more fuel when its cold |

Jeff,
replaced the thermostat today and it definately seems to idle better. The old thermo was completlly shot...was in pieces in the housing. The temp now goes up into the normal area and the car seems to idle smoother now. I will keep an eye on it and see what happens. Good luck with yours. |

Hey Jeff,
Your gonna Love me. Ive got a EB 5L Fairmont that had the same prob when i picked her up form the local mechanic. After much frustration i found a hose was missing from the EGR system(from manifold to one way valve). Turns out that the old mechanic noticed the hose was a little perished and decided to do away with it before it becomes a vacume leak. Replaced the hose and all is as god intended.

Mate, if you drive the car at 50kph the wrong way around a roundabout, does it drive any different than going the right way? It should idle better after that! haha
