The standard HO one's are crap. BTW, I wouldnt waste any money paying to get work done to the stock heads. They are crap to start with and can only have so much power extracted out of them no matter what you do. The most I would do to them is a home port job that costs you nothing but time. Yeah, in time I'll be chucking the stocko heads and going with either GT40x or p's.. Do you know if an explorer intake manifold and 65mm TB will be straight fit or will it need modifying? Thanks Pat Only problem with the explorer is you have to fit your air temp sensor somewhere. Either drill and tap the manifold or relocate it to the tube between the MAF and TB (will involve some rewiring). !st manifold change I did was to a Edelbrock Performer 5.0. Was a straight swap without modifying anything. Very simple job & much better manifold than an explorer. Hard to find 2nd hand though.
