OK...i raised my idle and set the TPS voltage, and after turned the car off, went to start it, and now is very difficult to start, and once started will no longer idle, and wont rev at all either, at first would rev to 4500 before cutting out, however has gotten worse and wont rev past 1500rpm? Any ideas?

Interesting - my car did this once the other day, and I wonder if the TPS is broken.
It also seems to stall sometimes - just at idle. Stops dead. Anyone? |

Isn't there a thing you can do with the ECU to set the TPS ranges? I know it might be hard but if you reset the ECU, let it idle for 60 secs, turn off the engine (but leave at ignition) for 60 secs with your foot flat to the floor.
It may just be for the v8 TCM though. |

Sounds like another problem has reared it's head at the same time.
Do a self test first and get back to us. |

OK...reset the ecu...car starts, and if i use no throttle, will start, and idle very roughly...touch the throttle and it instantly dies. Any thoughts? Im thinking the Throttle position senders?

Aha - thats because the car has no idea how much air is going to it.
I cant remember how to start diagnostics, but there are a few threads on here about the tool etc and how to read it. Otherwise skip to your local library and read up on it in a gregorys Nigel |

On the upper inlet manifold, underneath there is a vacuum line that goes in there, just make sure it isnt carcked, split or brittle.
Mine was cracked and it was just enough to idle badly and when it came off, it would keep cutting out.
