It doesn't look like the MAF is there from that pic?

autronics ecu or something. its running map/speed-density..

I know clampy. People were asking if the MAF was still there anyway....the pic suggests not that's all.

How come the RPM intake isnt suited to the combo?
The shorter runners shift the torque curve to higher rpm.

I would expect the normal Performer intake would "outperform" the Performer RPM at almost all points under 6000rpm...

Can that be improved by fitting one of the edelbrock spacers between the upper and lower?

You would need at least an inch spacer but that's not really enough plus it would probably hit the bonnet.

Pete you have a pm!

Maybe, but we still need to know what you have now and it would be nice to know the compression ratio too?
To fix what you have now I'd switch to a std performer upper, 65mm t-body and fit a 3" single exhaust and some underdrives from BPT.

No wuckers. It'll be cheaper to get a performer upper.

It's possible! I get low 15's in the barge and all I've touched is the exhaust.

maybe its just some motors have stayed nice n tight with good comp while others are a bit more tired. for example some chap i know had a bog stock EF i6 auto that ran 15 flat

but yeh in stock form i pretty sure the v8s ran a 15.7 or something.. 15.2 from a stocker sounds pretty speedy especially since thats with stock exhaust, and upgrading that droped it to 14.6. never heard of a stock eb+zorst pulling anywhere near that off.

Performance:
(Falcon S XR8, 5.0L V8, 5 sp manual):
Top speeds in gears
1st: 52km/h
2nd: 85km/h
3rd: 130km/h
4th: 181km/h
5th: 221km/h
0-100km/h: 7.7 seconds
Standing 400m: 15.7 seconds

added with a freezing cold night in tas with a decent set of tyres a 15.2 can be done and i also took the air filter out for the runs
