Nice.
Has it got all the original parts with it, and is it an original R-code car? Is it manual? |

The car will be quick Ash but I was saying you'll be having fun quicker than me...I still have to build mine! I'm in the process of converting to right hand drive at the mo. Mine is an S-code(390) and the plan is to use Edelbrock or Blue Thunder heads and a Scat kit for somewhere between 410 and 445ci. I have an Algon Medium riser Mechanical injection manifold that I'll modify for EFI.

I'm the same Ash...I wish I'd bought a ready made car too but, saying that, i've had a lot of fun with the other cars I've "wasted" my time on
I did a lot research on the available suspension for these cars and I think I've made the right decision.....It's super high quality! I've driven quite a few left hook cars(mainly with work) and whilst it's a novelty at first it becomes a pain in the a*** to drive for any length of time....you get sick of looking down the gutter to overtake for a start. Luckily TCP finally did a right hook power rack for these cars, so that made the decision easy. I wish I could have the car going by the end of the year but realistically it's probably going to be longer because I'm doing everything myself. |

Left hook is good for something afterall! Doing anything else while you're over there?
I haven't done that many hours yet Ash. Certainly be good to get the firewall part finished though. I was going to paint it myself but a rapidly expanding business means i don't have as much time as I'd like. Also means I don't have much spare money to pay anyone to do it either. catch22! |

{USERNAME} wrote: I meant to add here that when I was in the US, the highest octane fuel they had at the pump was 93. So any premium I put in here will be a vast improvement. Actually no. Aussie fuel ratings are RON. U.S. are an average of MON and RON so MON+RON/2. So in fact 93 in the U.S. is about the same as our 98. |

Just out of interest, is the car you're importing stock as it came from the factory? I read in your earlier post that it has an Edelbrock package. If this is the case, did you have any problems with getting the import permit? I've been hearing and reading a bit about people wanting to import cars from the US, but as soon as anything is modified outside of stock specs, they're getting knocked back, unless the modification was undertaken prior to 198x.

Cheers for the info. That's amazing that they're worried about how it looks, rather than how it goes. I hope you can get it here and enjoy it sooner, rather than later.
