Yes.
Yes. No. Anything to get rid of that noisy, 747 taking off, clutch fan lol. All it takes is a 32mm (I think) spanner, undo the bolt holding the clutch fan on, which is reverse thread. Bung the thermos in with two bolts (should go straight on no worries to an NC radiator). Then there's just a little bit of electrical wiring that you can with as you please. |

Yeah davies craig kits don't work too badly, that's what I'm using on mine.
I have used a relay to acc so that they will turn off when I switch the car off also. |

Used to.
This time round I p****d off that rubber thing, taped the wire to the radiator pipe, put some silicone around there, and then put the hose on. |

hooking them up to constantly run off acc is a bad idea. In order to maintain a proper temperature - you would have to turn them on and off and on and off and on and off. THen you also have to watch the temp gauge every 2 seconds as well. Also the aircon requires at least 1 of the fans to be on when the aircon is on. And then if someone else drives the car and doesnt turn on the fans - then you get a blown up engine.
Alternatively if you didnt put a switch in - and just had them on all the time - you would overcool the engine. especially on start up. so a thermo switch is the way to go. $70 well spent.

changed ED 5.0L to thermos - works great & easy to do. Am controlling the fans thru EECIV & Tweecer.
Just make sure you have it so they come on with aircon. Richie.
