Ok so im in the process in fixing up my el. Its been a while since ive done anything to.thr el but ive finally decided to put a v8 in it. Im not interested in pulling huge power i just want a nice cruiser. Ok so ive gone to a wrecker and bought an ef fairlane v8 engine and the auto, also ive asked for engine mounts, exhaust manifold, air intake and air box, wiring loom and computer now what else do i need? The engine is coming witha ll.the bolt ons... what else do i need to get to get this sucker in my el xr6? Do i need k frame? Do i need any other wiring looms or anything else to get this done?

Cheers daniel

you will need the v8 dash loom as the 6 don't have the wires for transmission control module

The trans control module wiring is seperate to the dash loom, he needs the loom that has the trans control module wiring, but he also needs the EF dash loom which is identical between 6 and V8.

You will need the left hand side engine bay loom, the right hand side engine bay loom and the full dash loom at a minimum. The transmission control loom FROM MEMORY is incorporated in the right hand side engine bay loom, but it goes all in behind the dash. You need the entire dash loom which can be from any EF it does not need to have eight cylinders.
