My mates ef's thermo's do not seem to be correctly or at all..
Tried just then, started car up air con on high 1 fan was working.. should both be working or just 1. I understand these are a twin speed fan? How elese can you test them, Last night car at 1/2 way on the temp gauge at idle fans where not working.. turned car off, turned ignition back on still no fans working.. Should they be working when the ignition is off and car is warm ? Could there be a fault in the wiring/blow fuse or a faulty water temp sender ? does the sensor in the over flow bottle dictate when the fans run ? thanks.

You should be able to disconnect the coolant temp switch, and fans should both run on high.

Correct. Both should work if this plug is off. |

first check. are they plugged in?
second, is the fuse ok? (next to the header tank) third, get the relay block in front of the airbox and start randomly swapping relays around until you work out if any of them are dead. if not, go to . . . . fourth check, unplug fans and give each one direct 12v power in turn if none of that fixes it i'd be really surprised. |
