Apart from
*Gearbox - I assume ordinary T5? *Clutch - Inc new clutch kit * Manual ECU (EF-L XR8?) * Manual Pedal Box - and clutch pedal Is there anything else that I need for a manual conversion for the EF Ghia? Also how much would you expect to pay someone (Rough indication) to do this, I have no time - and no equipment anyway... Thanks..

V8 T5 bellhousing V8 Flywheel spigot bearing floor boot/bracket shifter Shifter boot/surround ECU or J3 chip, J3 chip is much easier, works the same and cheap. Depends on hourly rate, over here expect to pay someone $60 hour, 4+ hours work.... It's easy enough to do it your self, all you need is a torque wrench, spanners/uni joints and a jack/axle stands. |

You can get a bellhousing to adapt i6 transmissions to a v8.
There is no difference in the boxes except ratios, except for the T series AU's and maybe AU xr8's and GT/Sprints (not 100%) which got t5z boxes.

Seriously do people google "f**k up modifications for Fords owned by Jews" and get linked straight to this site nowadays? AU,factory fitted tickford kit/IRS, t5,Sports ryder/KYB: gone. |

Yeah thats a good point, make sure you get an E series box, otherwise you will have to do what i did and cut holes in your floor, new sandwich plate and shorten your driveshaft. As i put in an AU T5Z (by accident). Castlemaine Rod Shop (CRS, www.rodshop.com) do a bellhousing for the i6 box to V8 block, but i assume that moving the 6 box forward to suit the V8 would also make a difference to the shifter hole in the cabin.....opposite of the AU boxes. |
